Knuefermann Atelier Forme Collection 2018
Part of the Knuefermann Atelier range of accessories, the Forme collection is inspired by architecture. Creative Director Turet Knuefermann describes the jewellery as timeless. “Much like architecture, which is designed around the people who inhabit the space, I design for women and their form. It’s about finding the perfect balance of timeless beauty and effortless function when creating these pieces. Influenced by her travels, Turet was inspired by her love of structure, form and light. “I developed an early appreciation for architecture when travelling throughout my childhood. Before each visit, my family encouraged us to research about the cities and their architecture. Understanding the stories behind iconic architectural buildings proved to be a valuable inspiration.” Turet drew on her favourites to create the timeless collection. “I have always admired Mies Van der Rohe’s modernist use of materials and symmetry. Another favourite is Mexican architect Ricardo Legorreta with his bold use of colour and light. Through her visionary designs, pioneering architect Eileen Gray has proven a strong influence on my work as a designer.
